- Reverend Te Napi Tutewehiwehi Waaka, a Māori leader renowned for his prowess in oratory, music, kapa haka, and language revitalisation has passed away.

A reverend of the Trinity Methodist Theological College, Waaka was well known for his charismatic charm and his ability to send crowds into fits of laughter.

-Despite political poll predictions, Donald Trump has taken the Presidency of America. As a result, the world is now reacting to the decision. Taiha Molyneux is in Washington DC speaking to people there and gaging reaction to the results. 

- Vicky Letele, jailed for fraud, will be released from prison. Letele was diagnosed with terminal cancer and Corrections NZ will release her so she can spend her final months at home with family and children.
