The Native Affairs – Kōwhiri 14, Hauraki Waikato debate continues and the candidates competing for the electorate are in studio with Mihingarangi Forbes attempting to prove to voters they are the best person for the job.

The candidates participating are incumbent MP from the Labour Party, Nanaia Mahuta, Angeline Greensill of the MANA Movement and Susan Cullen of the Māori Party.

Before revealing the next set of Māori Television Reid Research poll results, Mihingarangi Forbes visited the town of Raglan to gauge some voter perspective.  As a result she asks the candidates why other small communities aren't encouraged to use the template Raglan locals used to create their own thriving recycling industry?

In the next set of poll results we asked voters what issues are most important to them?

Te Reo Māori came in with 90% of respondents considering this as the most important issue, while Māori Unemployment is at 92% and the Cost of Living and Child Poverty both sit at 95%.

The top two issues for the Hauraki-Waikato electorate were Family Violence at 96% and Education which came in with 97%.
