In 26 days time, Aotearoa will go to the polls to decide who will lead our country for the next three years.

Four Māori who want to be your Te Tai Tonga MP in the next House of Representatives want to tell you what they believe in and how far they're willing to go for you and your whānau.

At over 161,000km2, Te Tai Tonga is by far the largest electorate in the country and includes no less than 10 iwi.

Joining Mihingarangi Forbes in studio is the current MP for Te Tai Tonga, Labour Party's Rino Tirikatene, from the Green Party, Dora Langsbury, representing the Māori Party is Ngaire Button and for the MANA Party, Georgina Beyer.

Native Affairs intrepid reporter, Jodi Ihaka has been on a tiki-tour through Te Tai Tonga asking people what's on their mind.  She begins her odyssey in the oyster capital of Aotearoa, Bluff.

From there, she asks how the candidates are going to make the people in areas like Bluff, feel more part of the process in that their vote counts.
