After eluding police for almost a week, 33-year-old Joshua Kite will appear in the Manukau District Court today.
Police conducted massive searches across the upper north island trying to locate Kite since an incident last Friday where it’s alleged he shot at police.
Kite was located at an address in Manurewa yesterday afternoon and taken into custody without incident.
He will face a number of charges which include 3 counts of using a firearm against police, 2 counts of kidnapping, impersonating a police officer and 2 chounts of unlawfully taking a motor vehicle.
He will also appear on a parole recall warrant and a warrant for his arrest on a separate matter.
Police say further charges are likely.
