It has been over 10 years since the doors of Queen Victoria School were shut, and its ex-students say its re-opening could be imminent.

The annual conference for the school was held this weekend in Auckland, with many of the attendees hoping for the best.

The doors of the school shut in 2001 and since that time, old girls have rallied together for it to be re-opened with a feasibility report being put forward to the school board.

It is expected that a decision will be made by the board regarding the future of Queen Victoria School in the New Year.
