Te Pāpakanui-a-Māui is the first Western Australian team to take to the stage today.
The group was originally formed in 2011, and its members are from various iwi across Aotearoa.
They say their main desire is to retain their culture and heritage, and to teach these aspects to their children through waiata and haka.
All of which they say they hold dear whilst living away from the homeland, Aotearoa.
Their leaders and tutors this year Earl Brown and Helen Ngaheu.
Here is their haka, 'Te Nakahi'.
