Young Māori finds his true calling in high fashion

He's graced the pages and covers of many fashion magazines, and snapped up contracts with modelling agencies in NZ, New York, Sydney and Brisbane.

Young Māori model, Ruanui Dalton was scouted in Australia a year ago, and he says there's no looking back.

When it comes to business, the normally shy guy steps up and takes over the show.

According to Ruanui, “I just love doing it. When I was a kid I used to think about doing it as a career but never told anyone.”

Kiri Nathan is a Māori fashion designer who creates contemporary Māori garments to sell around the world.

Once she found Ruanui, she knew she had to have him model her wares.
