The Australian National Kapa Haka Festival saw three groups, Manawa Mai Tawhiti, Te Rāranga Whānui and Tūranga Ake, put through to Te Matatini, which is due to be held next year in Christchurch.
Manawa Mai Tawhiti from Perth is heading back to the Te Matatini arena.
They're a team that was unable to land a position in last year's Te Matatini. Now they've climbed the ladder to become Australia's number one team.
Te Rāranga Whānui of Sydney found themselves placing second in the region.
Tūranga Ake from the Gold Coast still maintains their links to their home on the East Coast and ready to return to NZ to compete.
Now, there are seven regionals left, the next of which are the Tai Rāwhiti regionals, set for March 29 in Gisborne.
All three teams will be competing at Te Matatini held next year in Christchurch.
