The right to vote from behind bars

By Online News - Rereātea

People Against Prisons Aotearoa (PAPA) is demanding for prisoners to have the right to vote.

Since 2010, all sentenced prisoners have been unable to vote.

There are more than 7,000 people in prison who will be unable to vote this year, and the majority of them are Māori.

The PAPA organisation believe it’s a hostile move from the government.
