Jones undecided on leadership bid

Labour MP Shane Jones has indicated he is yet to decide whether he will put in a bid to take up the role as Leader of the Labour Party.

Jones told Te Kāea that the role is not one for the faint hearted and while he had not yet approached his colleagues he had not ruled it out.

He also dismissed National MP, Tau Henares claims that there was no MP strong enough within Labour to go against John Key in the upcoming election.

Jones says 'only time will tell' and once the issue at hand was sorted out the core focus for the party as a whole would be boosting support for Labour before the upcoming election.
