At every bend of the Waikato River there is a young leader.
This is the foreword for this summit.
These youth will contribute their thoughts and create strategies to feed back to the tribe from the perspective of young people.
Up for discussion today was the importance of the Māori King Movement and contributing to the tribe's language revitalisation strategy.
The summit will run for three days. Tomorrow, these young people will paddle their ancestral Waikato River. Career services will also be here to inspire the future leaders of Waikato-Tainui.
