Te Wharekura o Arowhenua was established in 1998 as part of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Arowhenua.
The group describe their mission statement with the whakatauki ‘Tū pakari, tū rangatira, hei raukura mō tō iwi - Stand Strong, Stand Proud as a plume for your Tribe.'
Arowhenua aim to be high achievers and exemplify the hopes and aspirations of their people.
This is the first year half of the group have stood on the national stage.
Te Wharekura o Arowhenua is led by kaitātaki tane Ihaia Te Wiki and kaitātaki wahine Renae Wanahi.
