He was 17 years of age and messages of condolence continue to pour in for Jordan Kemp since he passed after receiving head injuries on Saturday during a game of rugby.
His team the Otamatea Hawks will meet tonight at their Maungaturoto club to decide whether they forfeit this weekend’s game in respect to their lost friend and the bereaved family.
Dean Kenny says, “Just last week it was raining cats and dogs and he turned up with his bare feet and he was just running around kicking the ball around he just loved the footy.”
A young man with a renowned background in rugby, today his body will be returned to his marae to enable the grieving process to take place but the investigation into Jordan Kemps' death continues.
His life has been cut short and his people are grieving, saying it;s a terrible waste of life.
