Dwayne The Rock Johnson has posted a photo on social media of himself practising for his first sound session in the Disney animated classic musical, Moana.

Earlier this month he also announced on social media that he had signed up with Disney to play the voice of ‘Maui’ in the upcoming Disney animation.

The Hollywood heavyweight superstar posted the picture of himself playing the guitar aboard a Disney jet accompanied by the following statement.

“Keepin' the vocals manly and poetically off key… Warmin' the pipes and practicin' my bar chords for our first studio session for DISNEY'S next big animated classic musical MOANA. I have the great privilege of playing the leading man, "MAUI"… He has very long hair, symbolic tattoos, slightly neurotic and he may or may not talk to himself. So basically, I'm playing myself. This'll be fun… MOANA.”

Disney announced it would release the animated movie ‘Moana’ and explained the being set, "In the ancient South Pacific world of Oceania, Moana, a born navigator, sets sail in search of a fabled island. During her incredible journey, she teams up with her hero, the legendary demi-god Maui, to traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous sea creatures, breath-taking underworlds and ancient folklore."
