Today Wikitoria Day and Taroi Black take you through the top stories of the day.

Police are still searching for the last man believed to be part of a group of 11 whose charter boat capsized navigating the bar at the Kaipara Harbour.  The bodies of seven men have been recovered and three men rescued over the last two days.  A total of 11 men were in the party were onboard the Francie, which got into trouble yesterday afternoon.  All but the skipper were of Pacific Island descent.  Local Barry Beaton told Newshub that the Kaipara bar is a notorious stretch of water so skippers had to be vigilant. 

Kaikōura Māori have been praised for their tireless efforts following the earthquake which forced many locals to evacuate. New Zealand Defence Force says the support of Takahanga Marae was outstanding and should be recognised.  Read more here.
