And this afternoon, Wairarapa will reverberate with the spine-tingling sound of a momentous haka as a Guinness world record attempt takes place.
More than 5000 people are expected at Trust House Memorial Park  to take part in what is hoped to be the largest haka ever - in an effort to eclipse the record set in France in 2014.
