New Zealand's largest hospitals are prepared for Ebola

Our largest hospitals are prepped and ready, as Ebola virus fatality numbers continue to escalate overseas.

The World Health Organisation has recently said the death rate is sitting close to 4500, a rapid increase on a virus which only broke out around 2 months ago in West Africa.

It's an eagle eye approach to detail, as the Minister of Health ensures our preparedness for New Zealand cases of the Ebola virus, which is running rampant now in three African countries.

Although no known cases have been detected in New Zealand thus far, the virus is finding its way into more developed countries.

The most prominent symptom in detecting the virus is high fever.

If a person returns to New Zealand from an area that's been affected by Ebola and displays this symptom, call emergency services immediately.
