Native Affairs - The Sundance Kid

By Mere McLean

Hollywood royalty touched down in Roto-Vegas this week.

The small village of Ohinemutu has been playing host to film legend Robert Redford.  He's starred in classics, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, All the President's Men, An Indecent Proposal and The Horse Whisperer.

He also executive produced, The Motor Cycle Diaries based on the life of Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara. Redford is also the brains behind the Sundance Film Festival, a showcase for independent filmmakers which has hosted Māori films such as Once Were Warriors, The Whale Rider and Boy.

Te Kaea's Waiariki correspondent Mere McLean sat down with the good guy of Hollywood.
