Māori Television News and Current Affairs GM resigns

By Mihingarangi Forbes

This week, Māori Television announced the resignation of GM of News and Current Affairs, Te Anga Nathan, and the appointment of Julian Wilcox as his replacement.

Te Anga Nathan (Te Aupouri, Tainui, Ngāti Porou) has been with Māori Television since its establishment nine years ago.

He leaves to pursue new opportunities, while Julian Wilcox (Ngāpuhi, Tūwharetoa, Te Arawa) moves from his presenting role on Native Affairs to fill the leadership role of Māori Television's News and Current Affairs department.

The change will take effect from Friday, when Wilcox will be formally welcomed into his new role.  Nathan will stay on at Māori Television until mid-year to work on a range of special projects.
