Largest indigenous film fest

This is the largest world-wide indigenous Film and Broadcast festival of the world, and this year organisers have chosen Māori to take centre stage at the festival held in Toronto next week.

Renae Maihi comes from a theatre rich background, having written, produced and acted herself, now taking those skills into film with her first short film Butterfly, which was selected to compete at the festival.

Kath Brown says Renae's, ImagineNATIVE Maori curator is a piece of art and she is most proud to take it to the indigenous world stage, knowing how relatable the global audience will be.
