Blazed, a campaign targeting those who drive under the influence of cannabis, has gone viral on the internet and by this afternoon, the advert had more than 700,000 hits.
While some say it stereotypes Māori, a Māori consultant for the advert says that isn't the case at all.

Brent Mio, as well as others from Māori Television, played a consultancy role for the advert, which was first broadcast last week on Hōmai Te Pakipaki.
NZTA says the aim of the advert is to get people thinking and talking about the issue.
This is the first of adverts like this involving Māori, but there are others still to come.
