Our prisons are full of Māori because the spiritual element is lacking in the work and knowledge of the social sciences. That's according to a new book, 'Ngā Mahi - The Pathway of the Stars.'
Author Jason Hartley spent 10 years amongst the people of this region. His work revealed that there is a pathway we can follow to help guide families who are getting in trouble and winding up in jail.
Despite the apparent wealth of knowledge in social sciences, Govt continues to build more prisons to hold the increasing number of inmates.
Jason's book maintains that the system lacks true wisdom, and both the spiritual and physical realms of man need to be recognised.
One who upholds the principles of this world will not fall to crime or trouble.
