Moana Maniapoto has been flying the flag for reo Māori music for over a decade. She's in demand around the world, playing to packed houses across Canada, to Norway, the Czech Republic, to the Netherlands and Taiwan.
Her latest album called Rima was released this month. It’s been described as waiata dub, punchy dance floor directed songs where politics and te reo slip in effortlessly. It may well be the soundtrack for summer.
Moana Maniapoto joins Mihingarangi Forbes in studio for a chat about her latest album, 'Rima'.
