Baseball youth get tips from the pros, Lloyd Elsmore Park, Auckland

For the fourth consecutive year, the Major League Baseball Road Show, also known as Training With The Pros, has made it to Lloyd Elsmore Park in Pakuranga, Auckland.

Youth, aged from of 4-12 years, have enjoyed workshops facilitated by top players and coaches from the NZ Diamondblacks.

Ricky Paewai (NZ Diamondblack) told Te Kāea reporter Hone-Haunui Rapana that it’s something that the players appreciate being a part of.  “It’s about giving back to the game, plus exposing the kids to people who have made it at different levels in the game.”

The programme was set up to entice more people to get involved in the game, as well as leading in to the Oceania U18 Championship which begins this weekend.
