Supporters turned out to The Cloud at Auckland's Viaduct last night to celebrate the Black Caps' CWC campaign and welcome the team home from Melbourne.
Dedicated fans even followed the team straight in from their arrival at Auckland International Airport yesterday afternoon.
A heartfelt haka pōwhiri welcomed the Black Caps into the venue and kiwi musician Dave Dobbyn also paid tribute to the team.
Yesterday also marked the retirement of Daniel Vettori in international cricket. He confirmed to media at the airport that the CWC final against Australia was his last game for New Zealand.
He said, ""It was my last game for New Zealand, in the final, so it was a lovely way to finish."
"It would have been great to win, but I'm pretty proud of everyone, the way we've gone about things the last six weeks."
Despite missing out on the 2015 Cricket World Cup title, it's clear to see the Black Caps ran a successful campaign that all New Zealanders can be proud of.
