Rātana and Labour Party commemorate alliance

“It's the sign of remembrance 80 years ago. That's what brought us here today,” hei tā Ranea Aperahama.

Hei tā te Apotoro o te Hāhi Rātana a Wairua Andre Mason, “Arepa, Omeka, Piriwiritua, the spirt within, and the words of the Rātana Prophet led us both today.”

Hoino hei ta te kaiarahi o mohoa nei a Andrew Little me whakamana ano tera hononga.

"The issues today might be different, but the objective is still the same. Creating a country, creating communities where everybody has a chance."

E ai ki te mema paremata o Te Tai Hauauru a Andrian Rurawhe, “This is a very special day for Rātana and for Labour, I think it is an opportunity to remember the past, and commemorate what happened, but also to look to the future to and how that might look for all of us.”

Hei ta Little, he hiahia nōna kia whakahaere i tetahi huinga okawa kia riaki ake te taura here.

“So having a commemoration of this important event is a start, there will obviously be some korero between Labour's Maori MP's and Rātana over the next few months,” hei tā Little.
