Whaitiri says, “It's just wrong that people who have institutional knowledge of the roll of the Māori Land Court eg these managers across the country that their jobs are on the line.”

“We haven't got the legislation through. It's as simple as that. Parts of the legislation will determine what roles will remain at the Māori Land Court and what roles will go to the supposedly new Māori Land Service. It has not completed the examination from the Māori Affairs Select Committee.”

Ko tā te Minita Whanaketanga Māori a Te Ururoa Flavell, he kaupapa tēnei hei whai mā tangata kē.

“Ko ngā whakahaere o te Kōti Whenua Māori kei roto i ngā ringaringa o te Tāhūhū o te Ture. Māna anō te whakatau i ngā tūranga katoa.”

Kei te takiwā o te 50 katoa ngā tūranga mahi ka topea i roto o te Tāhuhū Ture.
