The 12-part series features three individuals or groups in every episode, who have achieved in a range of fields including education, sports, arts and entertainment.
Producer Lara Northcroft, from Velvet Stone Media in Rotorua, says people want to see stories about Māori succeeding – “standing out and standing up”.“Te Iti Kahurangi showcases inspirational Māori stories that encourage and motivate others to reach their goals, follow their dreams and to take a risk. “It presents the courage, determination, kindness, compassion and strength that these young individuals have shown in order to break outside the box and achieve what they have”.
The new series of Te Iti Kahurangi features talented young people including lifestyle entrepreneur and ex- professional snowboarder Robett Hollis, fashion designer Kiri Nathan and singer/ songwriter and producer Maree Sheehan.
