Māori Television has your morning and evening entertainment covered for Waitangi Day 2014.
The live breakfast show, ATA MARIE – WAITANGI DAY 2014, kicks off at 7.00am with hosts Stephanie Huriana Fong and Te Arahi Maipi easing you into the national holiday with interviews, entertainment and giveaways.
During the three-hour show, they’ll be talking about the latest books, movies and upcoming Māori Television programmes as well as talking to special guests from the Mystics and the Commonwealth Games’ team.
There will be live music from the Topp Twins, Tami Neilson and the Pa Boys and crosses to Darcy Ray Flavell-Hudson (actor/musician) and Whenua Patuwai (X Factor finalist) who will be checking out the action in Waitangi.
Later in the day, CRACK UP, at 7.30pm, will keep you in stitches. The special, stand-up comedy show is filmed in front of a studio audience at Māori Television and hosted by Mike King.
This year’s line-up features some of the country’s top comics, including Comic of the Year James Nokise, Ewen Gilmour, Mike Loder, Irene Pink and Dean Butler, who will be giving their views on Waitangi Day and what it means to them.
