The Board of Māori Television has advised that its search for a high-calibre Chief Executive continues, with the position being advertised in key publications this weekend.
Recruitment agency Farrow Jamieson is conducting the search and has been working for a number of months to proactively identify potential candidates. Suitably qualified applicants with an interest in the role are also invited to contact Farrow Jamieson direct.
Chairman Georgina te Heuheu said the Board had reviewed its recruitment arrangements and criteria to identify quality candidates with relevant skillsets to lead one of New Zealand’s highest profile Māori language organisations.
“Māori Television is an outstanding organization and requires an exceptional, visionary leader who can articulate the future for Māori Television and lead its next phase of growth,” said Mrs te Heuheu.
“As a Board we remain committed to finding the right person for this critical role and will take the time necessary,” she said. "As an expression of this commitment the Board has engaged Whaimutu Dewes to work with Farrow Jamieson and the Board. Mr Dewes brings to the process a wealth of experience drawn from his iwi, commercial and public service leadership roles."
Candidates wishing to express interest in the role can contact Gordon Duncan at Farrow Jamieson in the first instance on 09 915 9150. More information about the role can be found here: http://www.seek.co.nz/job/25876880.
